Parents & Families

Dear Parents,

The current economic crisis has put an unforeseen burden on families across the United States and around the world.   You are part of the Manhattanville family, and I write to you to make sure you know that the College will continue to work with your son or daughter with any financial concerns.

Many lenders are no longer participating in the Federal Family Education Loan program which includes Stafford loans and PLUS loans.  If your son or daughter has borrowed from any of these lenders, I have asked the new Office of Student Financial Services to assist you in rectifying your son or daughter's current loan problems.  Please see the attached list of banks who no longer are supplying loans to students.    If your family is experiencing financial hardship or you are trying to apply unsuccessfully to any alternative loans due to the economy, you should also visit a member of our SFS office.  The Office is eager to assist you, so don't hesitate to call them at 914-323-1989 or email them at sfs@mville.edu

Never forget that you and your son or daughter are important members of the Manhattanville community and as a community the Administration and Faculty are always here to support you as fully as possible.  Please remember that I have office hours at least twice a week, so if you would like to set up an appointment feel free to call me at 914-323-5230.

Sincerely,

Richard A. Berman
