Manhattanville a Top Tier School

Manhattanville College has recently been recognized as a top tier school by two of the most notable sources for higher education ranking in their 2009 editions; The Princeton Review and the U.S. News and World Report.

The Princeton Review: The Best 368 Colleges lists Manhattanville in its latest edition, giving its quality of life a 94% approval rating. Manhattanville received high marks from The Princeton Review for some of the school’s unique strengths. The college was rated #12 in the nation for most diverse campus. It was also rated #20 for best college theater. Students involved with the theater program enjoy the new Student Center on campus which houses a state-of-the-art theater, fitness center, and gallery.

Manhattanville College was also recognized in the ”U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Colleges 2009" as one of the best universities in the U.S. for its undergraduate and master's programs. This ranking system categorizes the 572 schools that are included into four regions and tiers; North, South, Midwest, and West. Manhattanville has been ranked among the best as a tier 1 school in the North.

For the seventh year, U.S. News and World Report recognizes colleges that provide excellent examples of eight types of academic programs to enhance learning; first-year experiences, learning communities, writing in disciplines, senior capstone, study abroad programs, internships and cooperative education, opportunities for undergraduate research, and service learning.

During the college search process, rankings such as these from top publications can provide prospective students and their parents with a general starting point for determining the worth of a college.
